He has recently become an instructor at Genesis3, one of the world’s leading organizations for the education of swimming pools and outdoor living.    These accomplishments are currently generating an overwhelming amount of leads creating massive opportunities for growth and success.

Our client is seeking a Senor Project Designer to be responsible for the successful execution of assigned conceptual designs from initial design retainer execution to completion.  The primary focus of this role is to create conceptual designs for outdoor living projects consistent with the RHD Design Methodologies and Best Practices.  Senior Project Designers will utilize and mentor Design Associates to create presentation materials for assigned projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide exemplary concierge services to deliver best in class outdoor living designs through an expert understanding of RHD Design Methodologies and Best Practices
  • Connect with clients by understanding their lifestyle and providing an Outdoor Living Design consistent with that lifestyle
  • Conduct client interview to determine design elements applicable to surpass client’s expectation of Outdoor Living Projects
  • Provides direction to and mentoring of Design Associates to prepare presentation materials for assigned projects
  • Manage assistants and delegate suitable tasks in an effort for the Senior Project Designer to increase productivity and meet timelines, as necessary
  • Coordinate with Director of Design on Constraints Plan and any specific HOA/Code requirements that will impact the conceptual design of assigned projects
  • Presents conceptual designs to clients with excitement and tenacity while connecting with the client’s reaction to the design
  • Passionately explain and defend, if necessary, the conceptual design elements during presentation to clients
  • Continually improves knowledge of design elements, materials and lifestyle components that will contribute to award-winning Outdoor Living Design
  • Actively participates in design organizations for the purpose of networking with other design professionals to obtain design referrals and participate in continuing education
  • Represents RHD in a professional manner with owners, architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors and subcontractors
  • Attend Design Review Field Visits with Construction Team Members at established milestones during the project
  • Attends project reveals to ensure that all final preparations are consistent with the design intent and client’s expectations


Required Education and Experience:

  1. (Preferred) Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Interior Design
  2. At least three (3) years of design of outdoor living projects, preferably within high-net-worth clients
  3. Must possess excellent communication skills including oral, written and listening. These skills may be used when communicating with clients, coordinating projects, resolving conflict, attending meetings, training, developing relationships with vendors and subcontractors, or presenting information.
  4. Understanding of strategies to connect with clients
  5. Ability to read, understand and interpret site plans, surveys, architectural plans, etc.
  6. Conceptual design skills and ability to visualize
  7. Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas of responsibility in alignment with the overall company strategy
