After an extensive national search, Keck Medical Center of USC selected Bill Dunne as the Director of Security, who will initiate the integration of additional services as needed, oversee the campus security and parking force, and implement satisfaction drivers, coaches, and trains, and will develop managers and supervisors. The Director of Security’s primary objective will be maintaining a safe, secure, and threat-free environment, and he will provide a framework for the successful implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive security and parking program.

Bill joins Keck Medical Center of USC after working for Penn State Health. Prior to that, he had worked at UCLA Health System for 14 years as the Administrative Director of Environmental Health & Safety, Security, and Emergency Preparedness. During his time there, he worked closely with the department director to develop a safety vision, plans, and strategies for the UCLA Health System. His primary focus was to ensure that the health system maintained a high level of safety while complying with regulatory and community standards.
Bill Dunne is an engaged leader organizing daily operations and growth of corporate-wide support services while developing global policy, plans, and training to manage large-scale incidents and crises. Bill is adept with 23 years of serving as a lead expert in the emergency department phases of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery, as well as business continuity planning and response.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Services from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in Emergency Health Services from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School.
