Hartz Search is excited to announce Dan Lavelle’s placement as the Vice President, System Marketing at Geisinger!
After a nationwide search, Geisinger has chosen Dan Lavelle as the Vice President, System Marketing. Dan will provide strategic executive leadership for planning, analysis, development, implementation, and management of system marketing, including brand positioning, identity, marketing communications, and promotions for the Geisinger enterprise and individual business units and programs. Dan will lead creative strategy and establish and manage agency, vendors, and business partner relationships. He will ensure alignment of the brand and marketing communications with the health system’s mission, values, goals, and objectives, health plan, medical school, and research institutes, regionally and nationally.
Dan will report directly to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of Geisinger – Hernando Ruiz-Jimenez.

Prior to joining Geisinger, Dan was Head of Digital Transformation for Unlock Health, where he led the strategic advisory practice of healthcare’s largest marketing and communications agency. He also built and launched the Unlock’s partner program, maintaining a set of strategic and technical marketing partnerships that allow clients to improve their effectiveness.
Dan earned his MBA at DeSales University and his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Drexel University.
