HARTZ Search is excited to announce the placement of Eric Van Duren as the new Chief Talent Acquisition Officer of Bon Secours Mercy Health!

After an extensive national search, Bon Secours Mercy Health, has selected Mr. Van Duren to set the direction for acquiring talent across the entire organization to fulfill the short and long-term workforce planning and talent development goals of the ministry.

Bon Secours Mercy Health is an integrated health system with 50 hospitals, thousands of providers, over 1,200 points of care, and 60,000 associates across 7 states and two countries, Bon Secours Mercy Health is one of the largest and strongest Catholic health care systems.

Mr. Van Duren will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Workforce Strategy Officer and will lead a growing team of 3 Direct Reports and indirect staff over a seven state region spanning two countries.

Mr. Van Duren joins BSMH from Spectrum Health, leading system wide talent acquisition since 2015. In his most recent role, he oversaw a centralized Talent Acquisition team that fills over 11,500 positions per year for an 8.3- billion-dollar enterprise comprised of; 31,000 employees, 14 hospitals, 150 ambulatory service sites, more than 4,200 physicians and advanced practice providers and Priority Health, a health plan with about 1,000,000 members served.

Mr. Van Duren is a Senior Talent Acquisition Leader with more than 15 years of progressively increasing responsibilities. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his MBA from Central Michigan University.
