After an extensive national search, Lake Charles Memorial Health System selected Lany Wahab as the Vice President of Revenue Cycle. Lany will oversee the hospital and physician billing services, processes, and technology across multiple locations and payers. He will be responsible for developing and managing policies and procedures that ensure the efficient operation of the organization’s Revenue Cycle program, essential for generating sufficient cash flow to support both operations and strategic initiatives. To maximize operational efficiency, optimize reimbursement, and deliver exceptional customer service, Lany will organize and lead intra-departmental efforts.

Lany is a highly experienced professional with over 9 years of experience in the Revenue Cycle. He joins Lake Charles from Alameda Health System in Alameda, CA. He was the System Director of Patient Access & Revenue Operations, whose responsibilities included overseeing and coordinating all revenue cycle activities with a goal of maximizing reimbursement in a cost-effective manner that complies with federal, state, and payer-specific billing requirements. He also oversaw the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of our healthcare facilities’ revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum.
Lany received his MPH from the University of Texas, his MD from the University of Ibadan, and his MBA in Management and Business Intelligence & Info Tech from California State University.
