After an extensive national search, Essentia Health selected Mr. Rohit Tandon as the Chief Information Security Officer, to serve as the process owner of all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee, and business information in compliance with the organization’s information security policies. Rohit is responsible for establishing, advancing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected.

Mr. Rohit Tandon will report directly to Mr. Chuck Watson, Chief Information Officer of Essentia Health.

Mr. Tandon brings over 20 years of cybersecurity experience to Essentia; he started his career at Mayo Clinic Rochester and has most recently served as the State Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Minnesota, Department of IT. Rohit has established cybersecurity programs and roadmaps from defining vision to executing in a matrix of highly regulated environments. He has a proven track record of creating a channel between business units and technology functions to raise the overall cybersecurity posture of complex organizations. Rohit received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Winona State University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. Rohit is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
