HARTZ Search is excited to announce the placement of Cathy Dent as the new Administrative Director of Perioperative and Trauma Services for University Medical Center, an LCMC Health facility.

After an extensive national search, University Medical Center selected Ms. Dent as the Administrative Director, Perioperative & Trauma Services, in collaboration with the Physician Chair of Surgery leads Perioperative Services for a Level 1 Trauma Center. The Administrative Director has 24/7 operational responsibility and administrative oversight for the OR’s, PACU, PAT, One Day Stay, GI/Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing.

Cathy Dent will report directly to Dr. Puneet Freitbott, Chief Administrative Officer of University Medical Center

Cathy Dent joins UMC from Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a 1,200 bed Magnet designated, level one trauma/transplant center. In her most recent role, she was responsible as the Clinical Director, Perioperative Services, for leading patient care operations for Peri-Operative Services, Level I Trauma Program, and South County Ambulatory Service Center. Cathy is a role model for service excellence and builds teams that collaborate with others to serve and exceed the expectations of the hospital’s customers.

Louisiana Children’s Medical Center Health (LCMC Health) is a nonprofit network of healthcare providers in Southern Louisiana, based out of New Orleans. It is a nine-hospital system that includes academic centers, acute care facilities, and research hospitals. University Medical Center is an Academic Medical Center with 446-licensed beds, Level I Trauma Center, and is affiliated with LSU Health New Orleans and Tulane University School of Medicine.
