Congratulations to Ms. Jasmine Pariza-Peek and the University of Maryland Capital Region Health!

After an extensive national search, University of Maryland Capital Region Health selected Jasmine Pariza-Peek as the Nurse Manager, Behavioral Health Unit.

Jasmine will report directly to the Senior Director, Nursing – Jon McMurphy, and is accountable for the delivery of patient care services that align with the organization’s strategic vision and achieve excellence in clinical outcomes, financial performance, and patient satisfaction. Overseeing both the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and the Emergency Room Psychiatric Unit, Jasmine will ensure that care delivery meets all professional, regulatory, and scope-of-practice standards. She will also be accountable for maintaining the clinical competency and performance of team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and shared accountability.

Jasmine joins University of Maryland Capital Region Health after most recently serving as the Director of Nursing for Crestwood Behavioral Health in San Francisco, CA. She has held a Nurse Manager position with Howard University, where she played a key role in managing an 18-bed and 7-bed detox unit. Jasmine specializes in policy development, creating nursing orientation programs and leading falls reduction programs.

Jasmine earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Tallahassee State College and her bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from Florida A&M University. She is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (PMHN-BC).
