After an extensive national search, Louisiana Children’s Medical Center Health (LCMC Health) and EJGH have selected Ms. Joni Lemoine to strategically plan, lead, and manage all business aspects of LCMC Health Holdings, Inc. dba East Jefferson General Hospital’s Physician Group’s. Ms. Lemoine will report directly to Greg Nielsen, CEO of East Jefferson General Hospital. EJGH is a 420-bed acute care facility located in Jefferson Parrish with 3,000 FTEs and 650 physicians on staff. EJGH is an award-winning hospital with a 5-time Magnet Designation, 5-Star CMS rating, CareChex #1 Ranking, and the #2 Brand in the New Orleans market.

Ms. Lemoine is a driven and successful strategic healthcare leader with 20 years’ experience in complex healthcare systems and networks, all of which have been located in Louisiana. Joni joins EJGH from Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group in Baton Rouge, LA. There she held the title of Senior Director, Operations, where she was responsible for all adult specialty practices, including Critical Care, Surgical Hospitalist, Trauma Surgeons, General Surgeons, Subspecialized ENT Surgeons, Bariatric Surgeons and Obesity Medicine, Colorectal Surgeons, Thoracic Surgeons, Vascular Surgeons, Medical Oncologist, Rheumatologist, Dermatologist, Sleep Medicine, Psychiatrist, Palliative Care, Rehab, & Sports Medicine.
She also held roles as Chief Nursing Officer at The Baton Rouge General and Director of Nursing at Baton Rouge General Medical Center from 2011 to 2019. Among her many accomplishments, she reconditioned and stood up The General in Mid-town Baton Rouge during COVID, converting from a Skilled Nursing Home (SNF) to a full acute hospital.
Ms. Lemoine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Joni is Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certified, Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN), Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN), and member of American Association of Certified Nurses (AACN).
