After an extensive national search, Lake Charles Memorial Health System selected Sara Daulong as the Clinical Director of Operations for Perioperative Services. Sara will provide will participate as a member of the hospital’s management team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision-making with particular reference to the department’s role, functions, and operation. Sara will work collaboratively with the multi-specialty team regarding add-on cases, as well as changes to the Block Schedule, while having the ability to collaborate effectively with Surgeons, Anesthesia, Sterile Processing, Same Day, and PAT. The responsibilities will include influencing a positive culture, identifying those who are not onboard, counseling offenders, and making recommendations to create a healthy culture in the workplace.
Sara will report directly to Yvette Stanley, Executive Director of Perioperative Services at Lake Charles Memorial Health System.

Sara is a highly experienced professional with over 5 years of experience in the Perioperative Services, and 18 years of experience in Human Resources. She joins Lake Charles from the Medical Center Health System in Odessa, TX. She was a Perioperative Nurse whose responsibilities included the safety, planning, and monitoring of surgical patients. During her time as a Charge Nurse, she had responsibility over the evening and weekend management of OR activities, personnel, and coordination activities in conjunction with the trauma program, emergency unit, general hospital units, and the post-anesthesia care unit. During her time as the Education and Quality Coordinator, she was responsible for designing, implementing, and continued maintenance of the interdisciplinary quality processes and educational projects to enhance the full perioperative experience.
Sara received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Midland College, BS degree in Nursing Science from Western Governors University, and is in the process of getting her MBA from Western Governors University.
