After an extensive national search, JPS Health Network selected Dr. Sudhakar Karlapudi as the Chief Medical Officer. He will be responsible for defining the overall clinical strategy and direction of JPS Health Network in partnership with Acclaim leadership. He will create an environment of collaboration, respect, transparency, accountability, and engagement, fostering opportunities for personal growth and professional excellence, empowering providers and staff at JPS. Dr. Karlapudi will provide medical oversight, direction, and leadership for the organization.
Dr. Sudhakar Karlapudi will report directly to Dr. Karen Duncan, Chief Executive Officer of JPS Health Network.

Dr. Sudhakar Karlapudi is a Physician Leader with over a decade of Executive experience. He joins JPS from PeaceHealth in Vancouver, WA where he was the NW Regional Chief Medical Officer & Patient Safety Officer for Washington and Alaska. He was accountable for St. Joseph Medical Center (250-bed Level II trauma center) and 3 critical access hospitals in AK and WA (KMC, PIMC, and UGMC). The northwest network generates $750M in annual operating revenue. SJMC supports 55K+ ED visits and 2K+ deliveries annually. Dr. Karlapudi has a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, IL. He also received an MBA in Healthcare from OHSU & Portland State University.
