PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Developed and implemented cost-saving measures reducing long length of stay cases totaling $25M, appointing a small team of CM to resolve barriers to discharge.
  • Improved LOS by launching a new model for LLOS Complex rounds, reducing DC cycle time and outlier cases by 2% in potentially avoidable days. Continued reduction in LLOS by 5% in the first 90 days after implementation of new staffing model, which focuses on equilibrating staffing and level loading of cases per case manager, attaining goal target of 20:1.
  • Reduction in OBS cases over 20hr by 5%.  Enacted biweekly meetings with utilization review staff, hospital physicians, and UR physician advisors, focusing on OBS cases over 20 hours to elicit a clear treatment plan, justification for continued OBS level, or recommendations for discharge.
