Dr. Pierce will create an environment of collaboration, respect, transparency, accountability, and engagement fostering opportunities for growth and professional excellence, and empowering providers and staff at RGH. Dr. Pierce will provide medical oversight, direction, and leadership for the organization.
Dr. Pierce will report directly to System Chief Medical Officer of Rochester Regional Health, Dr. Robert Mayo.

Dr. Pierce has spent the majority of his career in New York State. He joins RGH from WellNow where he served as the Chief Clinical Officer. Prior to his role at WellNow, Dr. Pierce, was the Regional Chief Medical Officer for Honest Medical Group. Dr. Pierce also held a number of leadership positions for Kaleida Health, starting as the Chief Quality & Patient Safety Officer at Millard Fillmore Suburban and DeGraff Memorial Hospital and ending as Chief Physician Executive of Kaleida Health. Dr. Pierce earned his bachelors degree in biology from SUNY University at Fredonia and his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara. Dr. Pierce completed his fifth pathway program at New York Medical College and his residency in emergency medicine at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine.
Rochester General Hospital is a tertiary care facility with 528 licensed beds, rated Rochester’s Top Hospital, and a 5-time Magnet designated facility. Rochester General Hospital has been ranked in the top 1% of hospitals in the nation by Healthgrades for the past 4 years.

After an extensive nationwide search, Morris & Dickson selected Mike Shaw as the SVP of HR to plan, direct, and administer all human resource functions for Morris & Dickson, including employee recruitment, staffing, compensation, employee benefit programs, performance management, risk and safety management, employee relations activities, employee onboarding, and policy management. Mike will lead the human resources team to collaboratively drive strategy and provide a high level of service while guiding and coaching employees in all areas of human resources.
Mike Shaw will report directly to Jody Hatcher, the Chief Executive Officer of Morris & Dickson.

Mike Shaw joins Morris & Dickson from Fairway Lawns, where he was the Head of Human Resources and was responsible for all HR operations spanning 48 locations and 15 states. Prior to Fairway Lawns, Mike was the Regional Human Resources Director for Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. Before joining Southern Glazer, Mike was the Human Resources Business Partner for Cardinal Health.
Mike Shaw received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Trinity University and is SHRM Certified.

After an extensive national search, the Cancer Center of South Florida selected Michael as the Vice President of Oncology Operations to continue the positive momentum in the organization. Michael will provide day-to-day clinic operational and physician management, operational planning, administrative coordination, and implementation of programs and activities related to the ambulatory component of the oncology service line for the Tampa General Hospital (“TGH”) Cancer Institute, which includes the departments of Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and Infusion Centers for all locations.
Michael Silver will report directly to the SVP Network Development & Chief of Oncology at Tampa General Hospital – Dr. Abraham Schwarzberg.

Michael joins CCSF from the NCI-designated Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, where he spent the last 6 years of his career as the Business Manager of the Department of Surgery before becoming the Senior Director of Cancer Center Operations. Prior to arriving at Fox Chase, Michael worked as the Practice Administrator over Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Neurosurgery for the Crozer-Keystone Health System.
Michael Silver received his Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Towson University, his Master’s in Athletic Training from West Virginia University, and his MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
Tampa General Hospital and Cancer Center of South Florida are working together to provide personalized patient care with state-of-the-art medical treatments. In the newly formed Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute, their devoted team of former Harvard Medical School faculty work with a team of surgical oncologists and specialists to provide South Florida patients access to cutting-edge clinical trials and therapies.
