After an extensive national search, Intermountain Centers is pleased to announce the selection of Martha Zhan as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Martha will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Rose Lopez and will oversee financial, facility, and technology operations. She will provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organization. Martha brings deep expertise in nonprofit accounting, extensive financial leadership experience, and a comprehensive understanding of grants and audit management. In this role, she will lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Martha joins Intermountain Centers from Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, where she served for nearly nine years as National Finance Director and Advisor. During her tenure, she played a key role in expanding new business lines and programs across the organization, supporting operational turnarounds, and contributing to Devereux’s growing service footprint across multiple states.
Martha holds both a Master of Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and is a licensed Arizona CPA.

Jasmine will report directly to the Senior Director, Nursing – Jon McMurphy, and is accountable for the delivery of patient care services that align with the organization’s strategic vision and achieve excellence in clinical outcomes, financial performance, and patient satisfaction. Overseeing both the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit and the Emergency Room Psychiatric Unit, Jasmine will ensure that care delivery meets all professional, regulatory, and scope-of-practice standards. She will also be accountable for maintaining the clinical competency and performance of team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and shared accountability.

Jasmine joins University of Maryland Capital Region Health after most recently serving as the Director of Nursing for Crestwood Behavioral Health in San Francisco, CA. She has held a Nurse Manager position with Howard University, where she played a key role in managing an 18-bed and 7-bed detox unit. Jasmine specializes in policy development, creating nursing orientation programs and leading falls reduction programs.
Jasmine earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Tallahassee State College and her bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from Florida A&M University. She is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (PMHN-BC).

After an extensive national search, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center selected Dr. Dennis Cunningham as the Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Cunningham will report directly to the President of the Medical Center, Alec Grabowski. The Chief Medical Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. He will be responsible for advancing clinical excellence and overseeing quality initiatives to drive consistent clinical performance and standardized practices across the organization. Additional Key responsibilities will include leading performance analysis of clinical quality metrics, identifying and prioritizing opportunities for improvement, and serving as a strategic advisor on physician-related matters. In collaboration with Medical Directors, Dr. Cunningham will also contribute to the recruitment, engagement, and performance management of physicians, aligning medical staff operations with Human Resources strategies.

Prior to joining OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Dr. Cunningham served as Chief Medical Officer for Ascension SE Wisconsin, overseeing the Elmbrook and St. Joseph campuses in Milwaukee, WI. In this role, he provided clinical leadership for quality, safety, and length-of-stay initiatives and guided the Medical Executive Committee to ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation. Before that, he led system-wide infection prevention efforts and served as Chief Medical Officer for several hospitals within the McLaren Health Care system.
Dr. Cunningham earned his Bachelor of Science from Ursinus College, Doctor of Medicine from Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine, and his Master of Health Administration from Ohio University.

Darlene will report directly to the President of the Medical Center, Alec Grabowski. The Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating the operations of the patient services division and ensuring the provision of proficient nursing care services. In collaboration with governing bodies, department management, medical staff, and clinical leaders, she will establish quality standards, foster cooperative working relations, and develop policies and procedures in accordance with government and accrediting agency regulatory requirements.

Prior to joining OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Darlene was an Associate Chief Nursing Officer for the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System for six years. At the University of Illinois Chicago Health, she focused on clinical regulatory and accreditation, practice and professional development, quality and safe patient care delivery, facilitating national recognitions AACN programs, to include the achievement of the designation for Transition to Practice, and supporting the organization in achieving their first Magnet achievement award. Prior to joining the University of Illinois Chicago Health, Darlene served as a hospital clinical operations consultant for regulatory and accreditation compliance and interim executive support for clinical quality and practice assignments.
Darlene earned her Bachelor's in Nursing, Master's in Nursing, and Master’s in Management from Troy University and is currently completing her Doctorate of Nursing degree. She has earned her Nurse Executive Advanced Board Certification, NEA-BC, and is CPHQ certified.

Sharon will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative direction for the Department of Surgery, which includes surgery, the preadmission care unit, the post-anesthesia care unit, the ambulatory surgery center, and the sterile processing unit. She will also be responsible for the performance of these units through the management of personnel, identification of and response to market conditions, and ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements.

Sharon is a highly experienced professional with over 9 years of experience in Surgical Services. She joins OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center from CHI CUMC in Omaha, NE. She was the Director of Perioperative Services and had oversight of multiple procedural departments, including the Main OR, CVOR, GI Lab, Cath/EP Lab, Perfusion, Pre/Post/Pacu, and SPD. Sharon has extensive experience with large-scale revenue-driven operations management with a strong focus on strategic planning and growth, patient safety, risk management, quality and process improvement, customer satisfaction, team building/staff engagement, program development, project management, and corporate compliance with multiple regulatory and accreditation bodies.
Sharon received her MPH from A.T. Still University, her BSN from the University of Southern Maine, and a CAGS in Public Health from the University of New England.

Jennifer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the entire association and coordinate the activities of Essential Hospitals Institute. She will be responsible for directing creative thinking and expert execution of strategies and tactics that meet and advance the needs of the association’s members and the vulnerable populations they serve. Jennifer will act as the health policy leader, working closely with the association and Institute boards of directors and membership to develop effective strategies for sustaining the economic base of its members and ensuring adaptive management strategies to foster member success and enhance their vital contributions to community health needs.

Jennifer joins America’s Essential Hospitals from Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN where she was the Chief Executive Officer for five years. As CEO she led the organization through the covid pandemic, civil unrest, and improved cash on hand by 300%, exceeding budget projections and delivering year-over-year positive margins during some of the most difficult healthcare operating years (2020-2022) and improved Quality ratings, moving to the top 6 rated systems in MN- Leapfrog 2024. Prior to becoming the CEO of Hennepin Healthcare, she served Hennepin County as the Deputy County Administrator.
Jennifer earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education—Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities—from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Lany is a highly experienced professional with over 9 years of experience in the Revenue Cycle. He joins Lake Charles from Alameda Health System in Alameda, CA. He was the System Director of Patient Access & Revenue Operations, whose responsibilities included overseeing and coordinating all revenue cycle activities with a goal of maximizing reimbursement in a cost-effective manner that complies with federal, state, and payer-specific billing requirements. He also oversaw the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of our healthcare facilities’ revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum.
Lany received his MPH from the University of Texas, his MD from the University of Ibadan, and his MBA in Management and Business Intelligence & Info Tech from California State University.

After an extensive national search, ReveLution has selected Marlena Balmaceda to lead their full revenue cycle operations. Reporting to Co-Founder/COO Candace Odle, Marlena will be responsible for optimizing processes across patient access, coding, billing, collections, and accounts receivable to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and ensure regulatory compliance. Her role will also encompass client onboarding.

Marlena's impressive background includes serving as Director, Revenue Cycle Management at McKesson Intrafusion, where she managed over 80 sites and more than $40M in AR. Prior to that, she held the position of Director of Operations (RCM) at Cedar Gate Technology where she managed revenue cycle operations to optimize billing, claims processing, and overall efficiency.
Marlena holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, Houston, Texas, and is certified in CVC presumptive eligibility, as well as a certified representative for FDCPA and HIPAA.
