After an extensive national search, JPS Health Network selected Cheryl Sutterfield-Jones as the JPS Foundation President. Cheryl directly works with the President and CEO to develop key relationships both locally and nationally to assist in the core mission of the health network. Cheryl is responsible to create new opportunities for JPS funding support that have either not been attempted or have not been previously available.

Ms. Sutterfield-Jones will report directly to Dr. Karen Duncan, Chief Executive Officer of JPS Health Network.

Ms. Cheryl Sutterfield-Jones joins JPS with over 30 years of leadership experience, including leading the American Red Cross for ten years achieving a $20 million annual fundraising goal. Cheryl has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Howard Payne University, and earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University.

Congratulations To Mr. Lizandro Paiz And JPS Health Network!

HARTZ Search is excited to announce the placement of Lizandro Paiz as one of the new Senior Project Managers at JPS Health Network. After an extensive national search, JPS Health has selected Mr. Paiz to help oversee construction projects as part of the Bond Program that JPS health will be undergoing over the next several years.

Mr. Paiz will report directly to Angie Morgan, Executive Director of Design & Construction.

Mr. Paiz joins JPS Health from the Energy Real Estate Solutions or ERES, where he was a Senior Project Manager. ERES provides a suite of commercial project and construction management and property entitlement services for new construction, renovation, tenant improvement, and decommissioning projects.

Before his employment at ERES, Mr. Paiz spent ten years at Linbeck as a very successful Project Manager and Project Engineer (APM). Linbeck is a Texas-based, technology-driven building construction firm offering construction management, design/build, and integrated project delivery services. One of Mr. Paiz’s largest projects was the Cook Children’s Medical Center:  South Tower, where he was the Project Engineer in charge of enabling projects leading up to the demolition, Emergency Department Renovation, and new Tower Foundation & Structure (piers, tunnel construction, concrete foundation, subgrade waterproofing, and lab testing). This project won an AGC award for innovation.

Mr. Paiz earned his Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University. He also holds an Association of General Contractors (AGC) Certificate of Management for Building Information Modeling, “CM-BIM” and Lean Construction Principles, “CM-Lean.”

In addition, she will own programs that run across the broader HR team and help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience.

Moyya Kemp brings her talent and experience to Essentia Health from the University of Minnesota. Over her 8 years with the University of Minnesota, she oversaw HR functions through all different departments of the University, including the physician’s department. Moyya provided strategic HR support to the Surgical, Medical, Woman’s, and Pediatric specialty groups and consulted with clinic leadership and supervisors on employee relations including the management of employee performance, disciplinary action, and investigations. She also partnered with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and improve retention. Moyya received her Bachelor’s from Minnesota State University and also completed the University of Minnesota’s Strategic Human Resources Leadership program. She was recently nominated and selected for the University of Minnesota’s Senate.

Michelle Ufford brings her talent and experience to Essentia Health from the Northeast Minnesota Office of Job Training (NEMOJT). Over her 20 years with NEMOJT, she oversaw all agency operations throughout the 7-county Arrowhead region of Northeast Minnesota. As Executive Director, she cultivated partnerships with like-minded organizations to enhance NEMOJT. Michelle and NEMOJT became an active partner with many businesses, government, community partners, and various industry and trade associations. Michelle lead the development and expansion of career exploration and career pathway programs, including the ‘Northeast Career EdVenture’ program that provides career exploration and work readiness resources to over 42 school districts; resulting in legislative funding to each workforce service area in Minnesota to implement the program. She also helped create partnerships between Rock Ridge Public Schools and the local business community. As a consultant to the district, Ms. Ufford created this unprecedented partnership between public education and the workforce system to align strategies and resources around career exploration for students.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Psychology from Park University. She earned her Master’s in Human Resources Administration and Management from Webster University and an MBA from Ashford University.

Anthony Carrigan brings his talent and experience to AnMed Health from CW Resources in Columbia, SC, and Shriners Hospital in Tampa, FL. At CW Resources, Anthony acted as a liaison between the Government Customers, NISH, CCPA, customers, and suppliers as necessary to ensure that all aspects of contracts were met and ensured customer satisfaction. At Shriners Hospital, Anthony worked independently performing procurement and supplier management functions to manage system-wide agreements, capital spending management, corporate operations, and various activities related to contract management. Anthony has 8 years of experience in the supply chain management industry.

Mr. Choi is responsible for medication management at all Centra Health facilities. He develops, plans, supervises and monitors all pharmacy-related activities. John is a leader that is visible, innovative, can manage change effectively, and is a transformational leader.

John Choi brings his talent and experience to Centra Health from Salinas Valley Memorial Health System in Salinas, CA. At Salinas Health System, John was the Director of Pharmacy of a 280-bed government-owned community hospital with 50 pharmacy FTEs. He provided leadership for medication management in the Infusion Center, 10 outpatient clinics, implementation of retail pharmacy in process, automation upgrade, and 340B management. John improved the employee engagement leadership index from 36 to 83 and from Tier III to Tier I. He led the expansion of the 340B operation projection of a $3 million increase in net revenue in 2021- 2022. Mr. Choi received his MHA from Ohio University and his PharmD from the University of Southern California.
