After an extensive national search, Dr. Kendall Von Crowns was named the new Chief Medical Examiner of Tarrant County.

In this role, he is responsible for all administrative functions of the Tarrant County Medical Examiner District and Forensic Laboratories (TCMED & FL) and provides strategic and tactical direction to all employees of the TCMED & FL in the effective development and attainment of the Medical Examiner' s goals.

Dr. Kendall Von Crowns joins Tarrant County from Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office in Austin, Texas. At Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office, Dr. Von Crowns was responsible for the overall operations of the Medical Examiners office, as well as supervision of the Deputy Medical Examiners.  Prior to his role as Deputy Chief Medical Examiner of Travis County, Dr. Crowns held the role as Deputy Medical Examiner of the Medical Examiner in Chicago, IL, where he performed 2,070 autopsies, and 2,061 external examination inspections.

Dr. Crowns has worked as a forensic pathologist for over 20 years. He earned his Bachelors in Science, in Chemistry from Wichita State University, and his degree in Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Anatomic and Forensic pathology.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office serves a district including Tarrant, Denton, Parker, and Johnson counties with a total population over 2.8M. The District is accredited by the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) and staffed by Seven (7) full-time Board-Certified Pathologists.

Congratulations James Bryant as the new Vice President of Emergency Services for Centra Health

HARTZ Search is excited to announce the placement of James Bryant as the new Vice President of Emergency Services for Centra Health!

After an extensive national search, James Bryant was named as the new Vice President of Emergency Services for Centra Health. In this role and in partnership with the Medical Director of Emergency Services, James Bryant will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, operations, and management of Centra Emergency Services and reports to the SVP Chief Physician Executive. He is responsible to lead the implementation of best practice workflows to improve and standardize all aspects of operations of the four Centra Emergency Departments and coordinate with nursing, hospitalists partners and other physicians, and administrative leaders of LGH, SCH, Gretna, and BMH to ensure sustainable safe, quality care. James will be the system-level oversight for the Emergency Departments at LGH, SCH, Gretna, and BMH as well as the ED observation unit, and will have active involvement in the Urgent Care strategic leadership.

James Byrant joins Centra Health from New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Bryant was responsible for four emergency departments including a Level II Adult Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, Behavioral Health Observation Unit, Clinical Decision/Observation, and Pediatrics (108 treatment spaces with 92,000 visits annually).

James Bryant is a healthcare executive with over 37 years of progressive experience, ranging from direct patient care to Associate Chief Nursing Officer of a nationally and internationally recognized healthcare enterprise. A hospital-based community ED seeing approximately 29,000 patients annually; a stand-Alone Emergency Department with an annual volume of 36,500, a Critical Access Hospital ED with growing ED patient volume, currently 28,000; and an ED Patient Assistance Center, a system-based follow-up and referral center for all four campuses.

James Bryant earned his BSN from Western Carolina University, MSN from John Hopkins University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain College of Nursing. He holds the following credentials: Nursing Executive Certification Advanced – Board Certified; Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse – Adult (CCRN); Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN); Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN); Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR); Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS) American Heart Association; and trained in Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness.

After an extensive national search, Amanda Turner was named as the new Senior Director of Emergency Services for Centra Health! In this role, she is responsible and accountable for directing the nursing and clinical support activities at the hospital(s) and in conjunction with appropriate administrative and physician leadership the ongoing development of clinical programs and services of the hospital. Ms. Amanda Turner leads, plans and implements plans to manage the growth of the department, improve patient experience metrics and develop collaborative partnerships with providers, and improve throughput issues.

Amanda Turner has been with Centra Health since 2004. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in Trauma for the Lynchburg General Hospital, as well as Director of the Centra Urgent Care in Forest, Danville, and Farmville, VA. Amanda has 17 years of clinical and leadership experience in intensive care, emergency medicine, trauma, and ambulatory care. She led Centra Health Lynchburg General Hospital through two successful Level II trauma center state designations, as well as directed the Centra’s ambulatory COVID response.

Ms. Amanda Turner earned her BSN from Liberty University and an MSN from Capella University. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support, and she is trained in Basic Disaster Life Support and HICS.

After an extensive national search, Heather Sieracki as the new Regional Director of Trauma Services for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, Texas. In this role, she is responsible for covering Memorial Hospital and McLane Children’s Hospital. Heather will lead and support this Level One Trauma Program in the overall coordination of the Trauma System Planning, Regulatory Compliance, Performance Improvement, Injury Prevention, and Registry aspects for the adult and pediatric trauma centers in the Temple region.

Heather Sieracki joins Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple from St. David’s in Austin, Texas. At St. David’s South Austin, Ms. Sieracki was responsible for the overall operations, outcomes, and performance of the Level II Trauma Center. Prior to moving to joining St. David’s in 2020, Heather led Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO from a level II to ACS level I Trauma Center. Ms. Sieracki has over ten years of Nursing and Trauma experience. She is a Fellow of the Trauma Center Association of America and is a certified specialist in Trauma Registry, ATS Trauma Registry, Trauma Care after Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support.

Heather earned his BSN degree from the University of Colorado, Beth-el College of Nursing, and her MSN from the American Sentinel University.

In her most recent role, she had direct operational oversight of a primary care network including Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, and additional specialties for her region. Among her many accomplishments, she was a core team member for vaccine state-designated vaccine HUB for the system and was part of the 'Snap Back' leadership team with the practice enterprise post-COVID shutdown.

Ms. Parks earned her Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and her MBA in Management from Mercer University. She is a Mentor with ACHE, a Fellow with FACHE, a member of the Medical Group Management Association, and a past Alumni Board Member at the Stetson School of Business.

Kelli earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Fordham University, and her Master of Public Policy & Management, in Personnel Management and Labor relations from the University of Pittsburgh. Ms. Nesbitt is an advanced practice nurse and case management leader dedicated to developing and operating comprehensive case management programs that improve utilization of resources, care coordination, as well as transitions and quality of care. Charkes has a Bachelors in Science, Nursing from Bethune-Cookman and a Master of Science in Registered Nursing (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) from the University of Florida with supporting certification in Case Management from the Commission of Case Managers.

Throughout his career his is recognized as a collaborative, transformational, dynamic leader with a proven record of success in the management

of clinical effectiveness and efficiency, patient and staff experience, program growth, hospital operations, integrated system development, quality improvement, financial stewardship, and community health systems. Ability to expertly manage complex multimillion-dollar budgets. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple departments and sites, as well as design and implement multi-faceted building and expansion projects. Enjoy and excels in the role of mentor and management team development.
